- Body text can be divided into two different chapters.
- Body text may consist of introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and summary.
Alternatively, it may consist of introduction, main text, and conclusion.

Basic Format
In principle, a thesis should be written in accordance with this writing guide. However, if necessary, it may be allowed to follow common research paper guidelines of relevant journals and general practice.
- Language : Korean, Mixed Korean and Chinese, or English
- Numbering : Sequence of ¥°, 1, 1), (1), ¨ç, ¥¡
- Title
- A title should be concise and able to represent the whole meaning of the paper, and should not be subtitled unless unavoidable.
- If a title is in Korean, an equivalent title in English should be also written.
(When writing a title in English, the first letter of all words except articles, prepositions, and conjunctions should be capitalized.)
<Example 1> A Study on the Managemental Rationalization of Set Net
- Abstract
- Terminology for Use: ¡®ÃÊ·Ï¡¯ in Korean, ¡®Abstract¡¯ in English, and an equivalent word to abstract in other foreign languages
- If the body text is written in Korean or mixed Korean and Chinese, the abstract should be in English; if the body text is written in English, the abstract should be in Korean.
- How to Display Citations in the Body Text
- When directly citing sentences from materials
- If the quotation is less than 150 characters, it should be written in quotation marks, and it is recommended to use single line only.

- If the quotation is more than 150 characters, it should use multiple lines, but pull the whole quotation to the right side by a few spaces.

- When citing comprehensive or representative meaning of the cited materials

- Citation number and year
- The notation of the cited document number shall be in accordance with <Example 2> to <Example 6> above, and shall match the serial number of the document in the footnote or references.
- There is no need to indicate the year of publication in parentheses, such as 'Cheol Soo Park (1981)' and 'Evens (1985) ©ù'. If the notation of the year is indispensable, it should be written as '1981³â ¹Úö¼ö', '1985³â Evens©ù', and so on.
- Tables and Figures
- In a thesis of natural sciences, titles and descriptions of tables and figures should be described in a foreign language. The title of the table should be written at the top, and the title of the figure should be written at the bottom of the figure, with only the first letter capitalized.

- In a thesis of humanities and social sciences, when describing the headings or descriptions of tables or figures in Korean or Chinese, their positions shall be in accordance with the above a).

<Example 10> 1. (Do not attach parentheses.)
- In the same thesis, tables and figures should be assigned serial numbers.
(Table 1-1, Fig1-2 are not allowed.)
- How to Write Footnotes
- Footnotes should be indicated at the bottom of the page containing the relevant text exits.
- Footnotes should be indicated in the following cases.
- When adding or supplementing parts of the body text
- When indicating the source of the cited document(s)
- Footnotes should be as concise as possible.
- The citations or references of the footnotes should be in accordance with ¡¸References in 3¡¹ as below.
References
- General Principles
- References should be cited with serial numbers in citation order.
- Theses in humanities and social sciences may contain some references other than those cited in the footnotes.
- The titles of monographs and magazines are marked with italic fonts, and the notation of the magazine is marked in its original abbreviated name.
- Notation Order
- When citing general research papers, relevant information should be stated in the following order and format.
- serial number, name of author, year of publication, title of publication and volume of journal:
1) Single author

- Register a thesis file at dCollection(http://dcollection.gsnu.ac.kr) of University Library.
- After registering the thesis file, print and sign the copyright agreement.
Submission of Printed Thesis
- List of Documents Submitted to the Graduate School Office
- A Degree Application
- An Acknowledgment of Thesis Title [Print it out from next generation system(Â÷¼¼´ë½Ã½ºÅÛ).]
- Three printed copies of the thesis(four for law students) with an official seal and signatures of thesis review committee and its members ¡æ The Graduate School Office will put a verification stamp on one of the printed thesis copies ¡æ An applicant should submit three copies of their thesis(four for law students) to the University Library.
- A Copyright Agreement
- Three printed copies of the thesis(four for law students) including the one with verification of the Graduate School Office should be submitted to the University Library.
